This wedding at Alqueria del Pi was our first wedding after the (unfortunately) known COVID pandemic. We didn’t know what differences to expect from the not-pandemic weddings, what we did know was that all the guests, Marina and Simo (the couple) and obviously us we wanted to party and to celebrate something good. After many months of quarantine we really wanted to gather around people again, celebrate and enjoy the day aside of the expected doubts, the fear of the upcoming unknown in terms of regulations and social situation that COVID meant around this time.
We don’t want to repeat ourselves, so we’re not going to tell you how Marina and Simo met, since we already have a blog post where they tell their story themselves (in case you didn’t know: we are currently working in a photographic series where couples tell how they met each other and we take them some pictures with the mood up to 1000º). But what we are going to tell you about this wedding at Alqueria del Pi is that it was themed as travel. In fact many of the details were from Morocco (Simo’s origin country), specially considering that his family couldn’t come because of the travelling restriction between countries caused by COVID19. But that’s an excuse to make their wedding again, this time in Morocco. If one wedding is good, two weddings are better.
By the way, you may remember them from the amazing rooftop intimate photo shoot with Moroccan tea, pastries, small lights and the nice Moroccan carpet that was also present at their wedding: ceremony and cocktail in the open air, dinner and party in the inside, so we can take the most out of the beautiful country house from XIX century called Alqueria del Pi, and placed right in the middle of Valencia’s city.
