There are moments in life where you think they are just one experience else and nothing is going to change, but when you do live them you realize they marked a before and after. That’s what happened to Irene when she went to Italy to do her overseas university experience. She never thought she would fall in love with an Italian ‘ragazzo’ named Massi, even less staying there to live. Sometimes life is just this, and it’s amazing.
Years later they decided to take the next step but this time in Valencia, with Irene’s family and friends, giving Massi’s relatives the chance to visit the Spanish city.
They are quite different at first sight but totally matching: she is pure nerve and he is more paused, with the classic Italian appearance. You couldn’t imagine without each other.
While getting ready for their wedding Massi had no rush whatsoever. It seems easy and it’s something we often do so is not difficult, but he had some problems getting his tie knotted. He spent quite some time since he couldn’t do it properly. Never lost his patience or got nervous. Nor asked for help. He just did it calmly and nice, taking his time, which was surprising and amazed us.
On the other hand, Irene wasn’t that nervous neither, even if she’s more nerve. Maybe it was her amazing backyard jungle filled with TONS of plants. We couldn’t help taking lots of pictures.
During the ceremony their friends and relatives talked translating in both languages (Spanish and Italian) so no one will miss a word. It was very funny when Irene’s brother talked about an Italian guy named Massi yelling in the middle of Milan’s streets his firsts words in Valencian (Valencia’s regional language), but we are saving those to say them in private hahaha.
We loved the way they decorated their tables: they printed old pictures with them along each guest -showing how special was every one of their guests for them- and, considering they are both scientists, using lab flasks (those laboratory bottles) as centerpieces holding the flowers or naming the tables with chemistry formulas.
As a bonding thing between both two cultures they all sang songs like ‘Nel blu dipinto di blu (volare)’ or ‘Felicità’ which both Italians and Spanish knew. Music bonding stuff, which we loved… :)
Lots of fun and joy joined Irene and Massi in their special day, which you can enjoy watching the pictures of this wedding in Naquera (Valencia). Hope you like it!
