Costa Brava wedding at hotel Mas Pastora, Girona

From the moment we first spoke with Carla and Juan, we knew their Costa Brava wedding was going to be special. And we weren’t wrong. The Costa Brava has that unique charm: a perfect balance of sea, mountains, and picturesque villages. And if you add a place like Hotel Mas Pastora -especially the energy and connection between Carla and Juan- the combination is simply magical.

From the start they both knew they wanted an intimate wedding, surrounded by their closest friends and family, in a setting that reflected their love for nature and the Mediterranean. And they absolutely nailed the choice. Mas Pastora is a hidden gem in Llafranc (very close to Calella de Palafrugell), a hotel with a peaceful energy and a garden that looks like it came straight out of a postcard. Even in autumn, its facade is stunning: covered in colorful leaves (this time of year leaning towards oranges and reds) and full of history.

But let’s go step by step: the first thing was to take some drone shots of the Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc area. The morning light is truly special, and we wanted to make the most of it. From there, we headed to the house where Carla was getting ready with the help of her mother and a friend who did her makeup. The first look with her family -especially seeing her father’s emotion- was incredible. And then the dress, and above all, Carla’s joy once she was fully ready.
From there, we went to Mas Pastora to do the same with Juan. It was shorter but just as emotional.

And now, the moment we were all waiting for: Carla and Juan’s wedding on the Costa Brava. The garden of Mas Pastora became the perfect setting for the ceremony. Surrounded by trees and with the sea breeze so close, the atmosphere was simply spectacular. The decoration was simple but elegant: wildflowers, their loved ones, and the hotel’s impressive facade serving as the perfect backdrop.
We have to highlight Juan’s emotions when he saw Carla arrive. And to prove it, here’s a photo (of course!).

Then came the cocktail-party/meal. The scent of the sea continued with dishes by chef Miquel García, and the sound of the waves was replaced by live music from the band La Habitación Prohibida. They played songs with a Catalan rumba twist, giving off an Estopa-like vibe that we absolutely loved. Carla, Juan, and their guests were in high spirits with the vermouth, the music, the dancing, the food, and all the joy.

As the sun began to set, we captured a few more drone shots, took group photos, had a little couple’s photoshoot, and then…

The party! You can probably guess what we’re about to say: Carla and Juan were on fire, there were sparklers, and… pizzas! Because all that dancing works up an appetite. And that led to one of our favorite photos: the bride casually eating pizza on her wedding day. Oh, and the cake! We forgot to mention it, but it gave us another fantastic shot. Actually, we forgot to mention a lot of things, but that’s enough text for today.
